Service agreement
Draft for client review — not legal advice. Version sa-draft-2026-07-30. Nebraska attorney must finalize before soft-pilot go-gate. Companion: Emergency veterinary authorization (eva-draft-2026-07-30).
1. Parties and premises
This agreement is between you (the client) and DSPetSitting, operated by Dave and Shelly in the Lincoln, Nebraska 68516 service area. Care is provided in their private home. The street address is shared only after a booking is confirmed and paid (or complimentary meet ’n greet is accepted).
2. Services
Overnight boarding and daycare for dogs in a home environment. Optional meet ’n greets are a complimentary courtesy for clients and their pets — never required and never charged.
3. Capacity and decline rights
DSPetSitting may decline, adjust, send a pet home early, or cancel a booking when it is not a good fit for the home, the pack, house rules, health, aggression, or capacity. See also Cancellation and Terms.
4. Vaccines and health
You represent that dogs in our care are current on rabies vaccination (and other vaccines we reasonably require), on flea/tick prevention as appropriate, and free of known contagious disease. We may refuse unvaccinated or symptomatic animals. You will complete honest intake for each pet.
5. Medications
You supply clearly labeled medications and instructions. Administration is best-effort; we do not guarantee medical outcomes.
6. Food and belongings
You provide food for your pet. Collars, beds, and other items may be lost or damaged; bring only what you accept that risk for.
7. Home pack environment
Care is indoor home boarding with resident animals (including Ember and Pepper) and other client dogs up to our capacity. This is not an outdoor kennel facility and is not continuous one-on-one monitoring.
8. People in the home
Household members and occasional visitors (including children) may be present. You must disclose any history of aggression toward people or animals.
9. Behavior disclosure (non-aggression)
You represent that your pet(s) are not violent or aggressive toward other dogs, cats, or other animals, or toward people (including children), except as you fully disclose in intake. Undisclosed aggression is grounds for immediate removal at your expense.
10. Assumption of risk and limited liability
Multi-dog home care involves inherent risks (injury, illness, stress, escape attempts, contagion such as kennel cough). Except as prohibited by law, you assume those risks and agree DSPetSitting’s liability is limited to the fees paid for the booking. This draft will be refined by a Nebraska attorney.
11. Indemnity
You agree to be responsible for injury or damage caused by your pet to people, other animals, or property while in our care, to the extent allowed by law (attorney to finalize).
12. Payment and address
Payment is via site checkout (usually confirms right away) or Venmo Business (we confirm when we see it). The boarding address is not revealed until the booking is confirmed and marked paid under our rules.
13. Photos
We may send you booking-update photos. Marketing use (website, social) requires a separate optional opt-in at booking.
14. Cancellation
Cancellation and timing rules are described on Cancellation.
15. Governing law
Draft: laws of the State of Nebraska; venue in Lancaster County (attorney to confirm).
16. Entire agreement
Together with the Emergency Veterinary Authorization and your intake answers, this is the draft entire agreement for the booking. Invalid clauses are severed.
